David Hirson – Hirson and Partners, LLP – With 30 years experience in the practice of immigration law, David is the managing partner of David Hirson & Partners, LLP. He has been certified as a Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization for more than 20 years. He has been actively involved in the WEB-5 arena of business and law since the inception of the program in 1990. He successfully filed one of the very first EB-5 cases in early 1991.
Alexis Crump – Partner, Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP – Alexis Crump has more than 20 years’ experience in municipal and corporate finance, real estate, redevelopment, municipal law and EB-5 financings. She has acted as counsel for public entities, corporations, including non-profit corporations, and developers for the financing of various real estate development projects throughout the United States. Alexis also has acted as bond counsel, special counsel, corporate counsel, agency counsel, developer’s counsel and disclosure counsel in a variety of finance transactions, including the issuance of tax allocation bonds, multi-family housing bonds, lease revenue bonds, tax anticipation notes, certificates of participation, private placements and corporate bonds ranging from $5M to over $600M. She has been legal counsel for over $1B in finance transactions during her career.
Iris Cheng – Partner, International Tax Division at Jensen Cheng, LLP – Iris Cheng has over 20 years of tax experience working with individuals and closely held businesses in a variety of industries. Currently she works closely with E-B5 investors and Regional Centers. She also represents overseas clients in negotiations with Federal and State tax agencies. Prior to joining Jensen Cheng, Iris was with Price Waterhouse Coopers for eight years in the International Tax Department. She provided cross-border tax planning to assure foreign based multi-national companies, and foreign investors, meet their business needs while minimizing their international taxation. After helping establish their U.S. business operations, Iris assisted overseas companies, and their principles, with preparation of their annual U.S. tax returns as well as on-going tax planning and day-to-day tax compliance issues.
Malcolm McNeil – Partner, Complex Litigation Practice at Arent Fox, LLP – Malcolm focuses his practice in litigation issues for a wide variety of businesses including those dealing with venture capital formation, retailing, textiles, manufacturing, import/export, real estate investment, aviation and publishing.
