Rosie Spagnuolo Bickert of Gentle HoofBeats to be Featured on Close-Up Talk Radio

LIGHTNING RELEASES 05/04/14 — DeWitt, MI – Anyone who has been around horses knows that just being near them can have a profoundly calming effect. Indeed, horses possess a natural desire and willingness to be spiritual energy healers.

Rosie Spagnuolo Bickert is the founder of Gentle HoofBeats. As a psychotherapist Rosie integrates the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method into her practice. She is committed to assisting her clients in transforming negative behaviors and perceptions into more productive and positive ways to approach life.

“I’ve always been passionate about horses,” says Rosie, who also breeds Puerto Rican Paso Finos.  The human/horse relationship has shaped our civilization. They have historically demonstrated their willingness to partner with humans and are eager to please. I am grateful that we are finally becoming more aware of their healing power and giving them the honor and respect that they deserve.”

Rosie has spent her 20 year career treating PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder) in women and men who have been traumatized by physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse.  She also provides services to soldiers returning from war zones struggling with PTSD and family reunification.

As an Equine Gestalt Psychotherapist, Rosie integrates Gestalt methodologies with the human/horse relationship to help clients examine their life and design a more positive and fulfilling future. “Gestalt” means “to make whole.”  Because the horse and therapist are active partners, the profound ability of the horse to become energetically engaged in the healing process makes the therapeutic experience profound and unique.  The healing occurs at a physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual level, helping us to become whole.

According to Rosie, humans resonate at a certain level energetically; horses, however, resonate at a much higher level.  Horses are prey animals, which makes them hypervigilant and resilient.  They read us before we can read ourselves.

“Anyone that has ever gone into a barn or spends time with horses walks away feeling better.  They raise our energy,” says Rosie. “They accept us for who we are. They provide a container for our pain and release it energetically.”

Close-Up Talk Radio will feature Rosie Spagnuolo Bickert in an interview with Jim Masters on May 8th at 10am EST and with Doug Llewelyn on May 15th at 10am EST.
