Broken Republic Music Group announced a newly formed partnership with Universal Music Canada today. The partnership includes distribution, manufacturing, and marketing support from Universal Music for all of Broken Republic Music Group artists and labels.
(New York, NY) Broken Republic Music Group (BRMG), a newly formed record label in partnership with Universal Music, is aiming to change the landscape of the music industry. BRMG will act as a record label to established musical acts as well as a developmental company to up and coming acts. The model of BRMG will be different than most major record labels, focusing on development and innovative strategies for artists, while letting artists retain majority revenue shares and full creative control. Artists content will be exclusive to BRMG and Universal for a period of time and then will revert back to the artists. BRMG will provide an unparalleled platform, while being able to offer artists and labels fair, non-traditional deals. BRMG feels that this model will change the landscape of the music industry by putting the creative talents in control of their careers.
