LIGHTNING RELEASES 04/24/14 –Maharajas’ Express – garnered quite an admiration from Foreign Tour Operators (FTOs) at the recently concluded Incredible India Travel Bazaar 2014 (IITB) in New Delhi. Co-organised by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the IITB 2014 was aimed at promoting inbound tourism and fostering ties between international buyers and Indian sellers.
More than 1500 tour operators from India and abroad participated in the first edition of the Incredible India Travel Bazaar 2014.During the event, hundreds of Foreign Tour Operators (FTOs) got an opportunity to experience the luxury on wheels offered by Maharajas’ Express – the finest luxury train in India. Around 250 FTOs thronged the stall of Maharajas’ Express on 8th and 9th of April at The Ashok, New Delhi.
In order to provide first hand experience to FTOs, a show-around of this Luxury Train was organized to the FTO’s at Safdarjung Station on 7th of April. About 200 FTO’s got a sneak preview of this World’s Leading Luxury train and also enjoyed the hospitality of the Maharajas’ Express.Another 100 Foreign Tour Operators attended dinner on board the moving Maharajas’ Express on 8th of April when this luxury train made 2-hrs ride in Delhi circle.
The IITB 2014 proved to be successful in meeting and marketing Maharajas’ Express to FTOs.The train offers an unforgettable experience with its onboard hospitality and Off-board excursions. This Luxury Train has completed four years of operation with the year-on-year increase of the luxury tourists since inception.The successful meetings and preview of Maharajas’ Express, the Tour Operators had, would definitely facilitate in getting more Luxury Tourists to Maharajas’ Express and savor each and every bit of Incredible India.Maharajas’ Express captures the grandeur of India’s historic cities, through its five well crafted itineraries.
The luxury train offers three 8Days/7Nights itineraries and two 4Days/3Nights itineraries, which introduce travellers to rich and panoramic landscape of historic places like Agra, Jaipur, Orchha, Khajuraho, Varanasi, Lucknow and Ranthambore.Maharajas’ Express has been awarded ‘World Travel Award’ in the category of ‘World’s Leading Luxury Train’ for two consecutive years in 2012 and 2013.
Besides, the luxury train has also won ‘Excellence in Luxury’ award at the Royal India 2013 Luxury Show in Dubai.Maharajas’ Express is owned and operated by the IRCTC, a subsidiary of the Indian Railways.
