YourLastWill.net Launches Video Contest to Record Last Words to the World
Online video contest is rewarding up to $2,500 in cash prizes for recording a public last will and testament message to the world.
New York, NY (02/14/2014) — YourLastWill.net is hosting an online video contest for users to record a message to the public as their last will. With over $2,500 in cash prizes, the YourLastWill.net video contest will award up to 10 winners that have received the most votes on their video. Users are encouraged to share their video and contest details via Twitter and Facebook to gain votes. The contest is free to enter online and will be open to entries until March 31, 2014.
“I think its important to take the time to tell your story as your story will be priceless to family and friends once you have passed,” commented the contest creator, Wolfgang Gabler.
Current entries in the video contest include users of all ages and many different types of messages. From messages that are less than 15 seconds up to 10 minutes, users express words of advice and sentiments to friends and family as if this was their true last will and testament. With smiles and a few tears, the videos share heartfelt and sometimes funny messages.
Similar to the BeforeIdie.cc art installation that was created in 2011, the YourLastWill.net contest was created to give those who contemplate death an outlet to express their thoughts and an ability to share their last words with the public. “You never know when the time will come,” continued Mr. Gabler. “With the YourLastWill.net contest, we want to help people record some parting words that help celebrate and remember the big picture of life.”
