LIGHTNING RELEASES: Etobicoke, ON (12/20/2013) – The Mississauga Halton Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) is pleased to announce that it has achieved Full Accreditation with Exemplary Status, earning a score of 100 per cent, the highest distinction awarded by Accreditation Canada, a not-for-profit organization that provides health services organization with a comprehensive accreditation process. The recognition was received following a rigorous on-site review of the organization and its services.
Mississauga Halton CCAC CEO Caroline Brereton says, “We have a vital role to play within Ontario’s health care system. Achieving exemplary status is a validation that we are delivering on our promise to support our patients with safe, high quality health care.”
Following a rigorous on-site review of the organization and its services, Accreditation Canada surveyors recognized the Mississauga Halton CCAC as a dynamic, forward-looking organization, with patient safety embedded in all activities. Also highlighted was the organization’s culture of teamwork and respect for one another.
