Be COURAGEOUS! Be AMAZING! “Be MISS TEEN DREAM’
“True Beauty Starts From Within”

What makes the
“MISS TEEN DREAM USA NATURAL PAGEANT 2013”
DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHERS?
In a world where the accent is primarily concentrated on external physicality, at the 1st ANNUAL MISS TEEN DREAM USA PAGEANT, our major focus is NOT on external beauty and attributes but, essentially, on the “aura that is inside” as we encourage EVERYONE to “Come As You Are!” and enjoying “BEING YOU!”
Self-esteem has been directly connected to an individual’s sense of self-worth, the activities they participate in, their own personal perception and ultimate levels of confidence and goal-orientation attainment.
In an age where social media, movies and television measure young girls for their outside “made-up” exterior and promotes body images that can be unobtainable and morals and attitudes that are far from perfect, the Miss Teen Dream USA Natural Pageant is geared to help, guide and support young girls and teenagers from all backgrounds and cultures to ‘come as they are’ and address such issues as low self esteem & confidence building in a competition that celebrates natural talent, intellect, personality, etiquette, social graces, as well as wholesome beauty “inside and out” and make successful transitions from child, to teen and then into adulthood.
The Pageant Founder of “Miss Teen Dream USA” is British born Audrey Beharie. Audrey is a former “Miss Afro West-Indies” Pageant titleholder and an ex-model who trained at the London Academy of Modeling, in London, UK by renowned celebrity modeling coach, writer and body language expert, Judi James, who has trained some of the big names in the industry including Naomi Campbell.
As a very young child, it had been a difficult time for Audrey growing up in the 60s in London, England and she underwent tremendous amounts of discrimination, bullying, intimidation from the fact that she was “different” to the others around her and suffered severe self-esteem issues. However, after entering and winning the coveted “Miss Afro West-Indies” Pageant in 1981 everything drastically changed. The Pageant allowed Audrey to discover the wealth or enormity of being confidence in our own self and now, armed with her expert coaching, confidence building and etiquette training given during her reign, she was able to use these skills throughout her life to go out and enlighten, encourage, enrich and embrace the unique qualities within young girls from all walks of life culminating in her eventually launching “The Miss Teen Dream Pageant” in the UK.
Ms. Beharie has a stellar reputation and a long history in the entertainment business as a singer, songwriter, producer, vocal/performing arts coach and event manager and has made it her mission over the past 18 years with her company, VOCAL ZONES, to nurture and guide talented individuals to create their entertainment persona without having to compromise.
She states, “I am PASSIONATE about making a difference and, if I am able to change the life and perception of just ONE young girl and the way they look at themselves then, for me, this is a job WELL DONE! Compromise can weaken your reputation and self-worth by accepting standards from someone else that are lower than what is desired by you. I firmly believe that every young girl deserves to experience a level of pride in “who they are”, self-esteem, confidence & personal assuredness so they can become successful in everything their put their hands too without giving up the integrity and essence that makes them truly SPECIAL & UNIQUE! Because our Youngsters of today are our Citizens of the Future!”
The launch of the “MISS TEEN DREAM USA” pageants she hopes to bring a fresh and exciting dimension to the Pageant element by allowing each of our Contestants the opportunity to recognize the aspirations and need to see themselves as valuable individuals within their communities, family and peer groups and be integral in helping to build confident, self-assured young ladies for tomorrow’s generation.
