GerMedUSA Inc is very excited to welcome Laschal Surgical to their family. Their product line of Needle Driver Scissors has been added to our surgical offerings. Laschal Surgical research and development staff spent many months developing a needle driver like no other available today! Dr, Lasner eliminates the chance of accidental laceration of tissue and avoids accidental severance of the suture. This is accomplished by having the scissors up front and protected so the blade is not exposed to the jaws of the needle holder. This new technology which was recently introduced at NAVC in Florida meeting will replace current needle holder and scissors combinations example Olsen Hegar & Gillies. This product should become the standard since it adds another margin of safety.  Operations today are in tighter spaces, openings are smaller therefore sometimes another pair of hands and eyes might be required. The NDS will allow you to perform surgical procedures without fear of having issue laceration or trauma by accidental cutting. The NDS used one way, the device stops with the blade exactly 2mm from the knot, so the suture is cut, leaving a 2mm tag. Used by turning over the NDS stops with the blade flush with the knot. If a longer tag is needed, just slide the NDS down to the knot and back away slowly until the desired length is achieved.
