Shalimar Ali has taught over a thousand women the art of Belly Dance, taking them from Beginner students through Advanced level and beyond to Performer, Troupe Dancers and Instructor levels. She won the Flamingo Belly Dance Studio contest in 1981 and was crowned “Miss America of the Belly Dance” in 1989 and has performed dances across the United States and in Canada.
