Chicago, ILL. – Clarissa Burton is Transitioning from Queen of the Pen to International Feminist Media Historian & Correspondent via Online Journalism. Clarissa will be Addressing issues in the media that negatively affects women the most via Online Journalism & Media Correspondence. Clarissa is an advocate and voice of women and girls all over the world via Journalism in Major Online News Forums & Other News Platform Mediums.

About Clarissa Burton
Clarissa Burton, aka Queen Of The Pen™, Author and Feminist Media Historian to Women of Color, has been writing poetry and short stories since age 8. She has published in the Charleston Post-Courier, the KC Star, Flourish Magazine, and the KC Small Business Monthly. She has several blogs and is the founder of The BWE Bloggersphere™ and Genuine Black Women Interracial Relationship® websites. She believes that life provides her many opportunities to capture stories to share with the world.
Clarissa has published four books: Travel – A Poetry Compilation (2010); Elijah’s Great Race (2012); The Black Family Tree™ (2012) which is a workbook and facilitator’s manual for helping Black families create a family tree record; and Faces (2012) which is the first of a six-novella series. She has recently completed two books in the Princess Onyx™ children’s book series scheduled for release in October 2012. Currently, Clarissa is working on the second book in the Faces series – Faces: Daddy’s Home to be release Winter 2013 and Parallel to be released in mid-Summer 2013.
Clarissa has a B.A. in Psychology from Ottawa University (Overland Park, KS), an M.A. in Business from Webster University (Kansas City, MO).; and she is currently completing her Ed.D. in Higher Education and Adult Learning at Walden University (Minneapolis, MN). She is the mother of three adult children and the grandmother of six. She currently lives in the Midwest.
