Phoenix, Arizona – Over five decades, St. Mary’s Food Bank has gathered food and distributed food to meets the needs of Arizona’s hungry. Families cutting back on groceries, skimping on meals, and even going hungry have increased along with this year’s huge rise in underemployment and unemployment. This growing number of “working poor” throughout Arizona is putting a strain on St. Mary’s food bank.

Starting November 1, Body Beautiful Spa will be hosting a food drive for St. Mary’s Food Bank. For those who help support St. Mary’s Food Bank with the donation of any amount of food or diapers, and Body Beautiful Spa will reward them with a $5 discount on any one service. Customers are encouraged to bring in any amount of canned or dried beans, canned or boxed fruit juices, canned fruits, vegetables, canned chili, pasta, stews, tuna, peanut butter (no glass containers please), rice, or diapers for St. Mary’s Food Bank. At check out, they’ll received $5 off any one service plus a $5 coupon to use on any service during their next visit. There is a limit of one discount per customer.

“Body Beautiful Day Spa and Medical Spa has so many neighborhood clients, we wanted do something to help those who have strained budgets have enough this holiday season,” said Marlena Krueger, owner of Body Beautiful Spa. “It doesn’t matter whether you bring in just one can, or you bring in ten. We’ll give you a total $10 in savings on our affordable luxury services”, she added. Body Beautiful will be collecting donations for St. Mary’s Food Bank through November 30.
