BLS Says Close to 3000 Jobs Added in Architecture between August and September 2012 Jobs Data on ArchitectureCrossing Confirms Growth Trend
According to the latest seasonally adjusted jobs data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, between August and September 2012, at least 2,900 jobs were added in the architectural and engineering services sector. This is quite close to the long-term growth rate projected for architects through 2020, which is about 24%. Recent jobs data across the last month on ArchitectureCrossing bears out the growth rate for Architect jobs, as claimed by BLS, which is faster than other sectors.

According to Harrison Barnes, CEO of ArchitectureCrossing, the demand for architects will keep growing as the nation recovers from the economic recession and real estate industry experiences growth. In the last one month, at least 3000 architect jobs have been placed on ArchitectureCrossing, and close to 2000 postings have been closed, as the architect job openings were apparently filled and no more active.
